Where would I purchase carbocisteine, it is to help thin out

Customer Question

Where would I purchase carbocisteine, it is to help thin out your mucus so you can get it up better
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: Yes, I had a prescription but the pharmacy I took it to couldn't get it and they kept the prescription. The doctor will write me out another
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: I am only allergic to Avalox and Levequin
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have copd and can hardly get the thick mucus up, so I've read about this carbocisteine and it says it is to thin the mucus so I can get it up easier, I know it comes in capsule of liquid form

Carbocisteine is not available in the US (only in Europe and it is by prescription only). The closest thing we have in the US would be Guaifenesin.

Do you have follow-up questions? I am happy to help:)
