Over the counter cold medicine
Expert:  Dr. Bridget replied 5 months ago.

Thanks for the clarification. There are multiple over the counter cold medicines...not sure specifically which you have tried...but I recommend using Sudafed 12 hour 1 tablet twice a day, Mucinex DM Extended Release 1 tablet twice a day, Claritin 10 mg once a day, and a Neti Pot (with saline solution-1/2 teaspoon iodized salt and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda with 1 cup warm water) twice a day. If your symptoms continue for more than a week total, you have pain in your face, or symptoms worsen with these recommended treatments, you will need to stop in to an urgent care for antibiotics.

Do you have any addtional questions for me? I am happy to help:)

Regards,

Dr. Bridget
