I understand Fluconazole comes as a 150mg single dose. I have 100mg tablets can I use instead?
Expert:  Drugdad replied 6 months ago.

Yes, fluconazole does come in 150mg dose. It is usually used for Vaginal infection as a one time dose.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Correct. But I understand it can also be used by Males for penile yeast infections?
Expert:  Drugdad replied 6 months ago.

If you have fungal infection on your groin, you may need more than one time dose. The dose can range from 200 to 400 mg once daily. This is why you need to see your doctor.

Just wanted to know if I break a 100mg tablet in half and take with a 100mg tablet is that equivalent to 150mg one tme does, or is the 150mg tablet some form of slow release tablet
Expert:  Drugdad replied 6 months ago.

Yes, you can do that.

Expert:  Drugdad replied 6 months ago.

It is not an extended release tablet

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Are there any interactions with 20mg Lipitor I should be aware of?
Expert:  Drugdad replied 6 months ago.

Yes, there is potential interaction but it is minimal. The fluconazole can increase the concentration of lipitor but this does usually happen right away. It is a long term issue.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
OK. Thank you for your help
