Customer: I am looking for an over the counter equivalent for desonide 0.05%. I use it on my face. Can you help?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: I have seen a dr. I am currently using clindamycin phosphate lotion as well. Bot are prescriptions. However, I have run out of the dedesonide cream and can not wait the weekend for my refill. Please help?

Customer: No medication allergies. Currently use clindamycin phosphate lotion daily.

Hi! I'm Dr. Bridget.

There is only one over the counter steroid cream available (desonide is a steroid): Hydrocortisone. It comes in a 0.5% or 1% strength. I recommend the 1%.
