I have been told that sertraline contains a form of amphetamine

Customer Question

I have been told that sertraline contains a form of amphetamine or is chemically similar to it, and that sertraline is a stimulant. Can you please explain this to me? I was under the impression that sertraline is not related in any way to amphetamine and was not a stimulant.

You are correct. It is not a stimulant at all.
It is an SSRI. Similar to prozac

Is it related to or similar to amphetamines in any way, scientifically/chemically speaking?
