What is the differance between oxycodone and hydrocodone?
Optional Information: Person's Gender: Female Person's Age: 44 Already Tried: both at seperate times
I will be glad to help you find an answer. Please give me a minute to research your question.
I'll be right with you. Looking some information up to answer the question.
ok
Both are analgesic opioids. I am looking for information that compares their relative strength.
The oxycodone is stronger. An article I have saved actual tells how much. Still looking.
Really apologize this is taking so long. Oxycodone is the stronger of the two. Are you currently on one or inquiring in order to ask your physician.
Shouldn't be much longer.
i am on percoset 5mgs but it still its working very well
and i take 4 a day
Okay, 15 mg of hydrocodone is equivalent to 10mg of oxycodone.
Percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen.
Other than the strength issue, is there anything else you'd like me to help answer.
Again, this was right at my fingertips - or so I thought.
no thats all thank you

Thank you for the opportunity to answer your question today. The favorable rating and accept was appreciated. I just wanted to follow back up and provide you a link comparing relative strengths of opioid analgesics. The lower the number in the middle column the stronger the drug. And, this also shows for example 10 mg of oxycodone = 15 mg of hydrocodone (b/c 20 = 30 and 30 = 45; respectively). As can also be seen in this chart oxymorphone, hydromorphone, and levorphanol are all stronger than oxycodone. All the best.
Thanks again i really appreciate it.
Glad to be of help.
