Hi..
When you had your drivers door replaced - Did the brakes lights stop working immediately after this was done?
Does the rest of the lights on the back work inc:- tail light / reverse / indicators / fog?
my reply is yes, i know the brake lights were working ok before door replacement. All the other lights work correctly, i hope this helps.

Well it does sound strange as according to wiring diagrams i have - don't seem to have any connection with the brake light circuit as far as i can see...One of things i would check just to rule it out anyway seeing as you haven't mentioned that - is the brake light switch located at the brake pedal - you'll need to remove the lower half of the dash to get a better view of it to check the switch properly - you can remove the plug from it and bridge the pins - this should allow the brake lights to stay, come on with the ignition turned on - if they do come on then you can pretty much asume the brake switch is likly to be at fualt and the wiring circuit should be ok - so it would be well worth checking the switch first and the fuse F5 (25amp) which you may of already checked - also check the earth point(s) near the rear lamp cluster just to be sure they are clean/tight...

Good afternoon.
Many thanks for your help. Indeed it was the b/l switch. To have it replaced cost 6 times the price of the switch. Motoring!!!!!!
