Peugeot 306 HdiHi , my 306 randomly shuts down when moving, all what happens is enginge shuts down and stop comes on followed by engine diagnostics. It happens at any speed and no pattern to it occuring sometimes taking 2 months apart some times two weeks. Its been on diagnostics with a auto electrictian who came back with codes for injectors ( been independtly checked with wiring no fault) and the mass air flow (heard common fault) he also says it could be a glitch ,wiring etc. I have also had Cat checked during mot and its not running rich and flew through the emissions tests (Not sure how true this is thought diesels of this age were smoke tested) but after break down engine sounds rough seems to burn more feul and oil .Had all sensors wiped as well .Just need any advice tips were to procede because the seems no easy solution to this intermitant fault. The auto technican was certain it was the mass air flow that may be causing it but would not stake on this and i would not be happy selling this car in this condition.

Hello and Welcome to justanswer..What is the mileage on the vehicle ?What is its service / recent repair history ? ( other than what you have mentioned )Do you get any warn lights come on the dash on general driving ( not the Stop light as you describe ) ?Rgds - MIKE..........................................
Full Peugeot history to 35k miles then independant last service 46k ( car on 50K now)
Just engine diagnostics after stop light thats it (wipes within 2 starts tho)
