With the diabetes, you do need to be sensitive to his food and the "Pedigree" is not a good mix in food. There are other foods to use, but it is hard for him to process the crud in pedigree. There are other diets than Science Diet foods that make wonderful foods. Eukanuba Veterinary Diets, Purina Veterinary Diets, IVD/Waltham...all make foods that you dog may do better on...there is never one food for all dogs.
I am not opposed to homeopathic management of the GI tract, just do it cautiously.
For now, you can use 1-2 tsp of Immodium to slow down the diarrhea...but definately call your vet about getting some options with your food choices. DIabetes is hard to control, so I would drop the commerical foods and stick with the vet diets, just ask to try something he may be more likely to enjoy. I have also enclosed a suggested nutritional therapy to accompany your current Diabetes management. You can have your vet review it..but you take this to a compounding pharmacy and they will mix it for you and then you dose it once a day. I usually start with the middle of the range for the composition.
