Dogs cannot tolerate Advil, Tylenol or Ibuprofen. These can be deadly even in small doses. A regular aspirin can be used every 12 hours but you should not give more than 3 doses because of the irritation tha it causes to the stomach.
Your vet can give you alternatives that might be more cost effective for you. Even aspirin is not safe when given long term.
