Hello,

My name is ***** ***** I have been a Vet tech for 30+ years with secial interest in Reptiles and reptile rescue.

I assume this is a turtle by the description of the accident. I this situation when trapped behind a filter we are looking at aspiration Pneumonia. The measures you are using are not enough. The reptile needs to see a Herp Vet asap. They will need to start some Antibotics, as well as something for fluid in the lungs and possibly a Bronchodialator. If you do not have a Herp Vet, please supply a state and I can locate some Herp Vets for you.
