Hello,

Please never feed any wild caught insects. Many insects have been exposed to insecticides, or toxic like the firefly which will kill a Dragon rapidly.

Feeders should include Crickets, silk worms, phoenix worms super worms(occasionally), dubia roaches, wax worms and tomato horned worms.

The diet should also be a variety of fresh greens and fruits. All prey and veggies should be dusted 5 days a week with a good plain calcium supplement and 2 days a week with a vitamin supplement.

Make sure you have a UVB that runs 12-14 hours a day and a basking light for the Dragon to aid with digestion. A dragon ober 1 year of age needs 80% veggies and 20% live prey. If under a year, then the percentages would be opposite.

Hi,

I would monitor the Dragon for any issues. There are many beetles that are grouped as June bugs and some are actually toxic. I would definitaley keep an eye on the Dragin for reguritation, lethargy, any neurological issues. If the dragon shows any off signs get it into a Herp Vet asap. I would explain that they cannot feed the Dragon anything that mom does not get from the store. Hopefully this is not one of the toxic beetles and that your Dragon will be ok. Unfortunately we cannot induce vominting in a Dragon like we do with dogs.
