Hello,

Is the Ig still eating?

Where do you house the iguana, inside or outside?

What type of diet do you feed?

Joan

Hi,

The Ig may be able to pass to pass the paper towels, but there is some concren. Paper does break down, but if they get caught in the intestinal track, it may cause a blockage. We can try to move the paper along by giving some canned Pumpkin(not pie filling) and some butternut squash. These are fiber foods that may help. I would also like you to try a bath later and while in the warm bath, gently massage the abdomen.

If the Ig does not pass a stool within the next 24 hours a Herp Vet visit may be needed to X ray the ig and see if the towels will pass. The may be able to get the towels to pass without surgery. If you need a Herp Vet, I can try and locate one with a State. Joan
