I have a female Veiled Chameleon and she has been dark in color with a white spot on both of her sides. What does this mean?

Temps and how measured?
Do you have a dripper or automatic mister?
Do you have a UVB light? How old? What type?

She is in a 24''x24'' x4' screen cage.
temos are 70 at night and 75 during the day plus with a uv lamp.
She has a dripper that she gets 2x daily.
She gets her crickets dusted with Reptivite
I still need to find out if you have a UVB tubular light. This simulates the sunlight.
How do you measure the temps?
yes I do. I have a flat temp reader
There are a few issues that can be causing a problem. The first is that type of thermometer can be off as much as 20* either way. Your temps are a little low for the daytime. They should be around 85*F for daytime temps. This can cause the dark coloration. Stress is another problem when it comes to Chameleons. I would pick up a temp gun or a digital probe thermometer which will give you a more accuarate reading. The white spots may be retained shed. I would really need to see the spots to see if I can identify the problem. The reptivite is a vitamin and you should be using a plain calcim at least 5 days a week. I will give you a great care sheet to read about the chameleons. I would suggest a Herp Vet visit to rule out any parasite issues. Joan
