My 4 year old Labradoodle is very lethargic. Has only eaten

Customer Question

My 4 year old Labradoodle is very lethargic. Has only eaten once in the last two days (I had to cut up some chicken in her food to coax her into it. Very tentative when jumping up on couch or bed.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?
Customer: Maggie...She does not appear to have any tenderness in abdomen or back legs.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Maggie?
Customer: I believe that is it...she has always been full of energy. Just looks like she went from 4 years old to 12 almost over night. Thank you for any help!

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

How long has she has these signs?

Any gagging, retching, lip licking, drooling or vomiting?

Will she drink?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Any diarrhea?
