Customer Question

My 30 lb dog, might have eaten 150 mg tab of Bupropion.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Lola is 10 years old. She is a Cocker Spaniel and it has been between 5-10 minutes.
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Lola?
Customer: No, she is in good health.

Hello, I'm Dr Gary. I've been practicing veterinary medicine since 2007. I look forward to helping with your questions/ concerns.

This medication is pretty well tolerated in dogs.

If you do see signs of toxicity, it's usually excitation, muscle tremors and potentially seizures. If you're seeing that excitation and twitchiness, then I would get to a vet where they can give Cyproheptadine to reverse the signs. I think it's unlikely that you see any toxic signs.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
