I accidentally left my dog (basset hound) outside all night

Customer Question

I accidentally left my dog (basset hound) outside all night - cold not freezing and thankfully no rain- I brought her in as soon as I realised and she seems ok. Should I get her checked out? Will she be ok? Will she take it as a rejection or do they forget?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. What seems to be the problem with your basset?
Customer: As above. I accidentally left my dog (basset hound) outside all night - cold not freezing and thankfully no rain- I brought her in as soon as I realised and she seems ok. Should I get her checked out? Will she be ok? Will she take it as a rejection or do they forget?
JA: Where does your basset seem to hurt?
Customer: She's no hurt at all just worried out the impact of her having been left outside
JA: Is there anything else important you think the veterinarian should know about your basset?
Customer: No, generally happy. Any thoughts?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

How cold was it last night?

Any changes to her breathing?

Does she seem abnormal in any way?

Are her gums pink or pale/white?
