My dog has a strange spot on his underside. It's a swollen spot with little purpleish specks. Can I send you a picture?

Thank you! Give me a moment to take a look at them, please...

I regret that only IMG_0407.JPG is in focus and it only reveals a dark area through which hair is growing. I suspect that it represents an epidermal collarette - a roughly circular skin lesion indicative of bacterial skin infection (Staphylococcal, usually). Can this "dark" be scrubbed away?

Thank you. One moment, please...

0411 and 0412 shows a very well demarcated lesion...it looks like an ear coming up from the skin...the other views show a heavily pigmented skin lesion suggestive of a pigmented epidermal collarette, melanocytoma or melanoma. The hair around this needs to be clipped away to see the true extent of it. I'm sorry I can't be more specific for you. I'll opt out which will give other experts the opportunity to take a look at the photos and give their opinions.
