Customer Question

I came home and didn't notice anything but as the night went on I noticed her gagging and having a hard time swallowing she is eating but when I try to touch her she starts to tremble
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Asia and she is 5 Rottweiler
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Asia?
Customer: She is laying in the bed with me now but when she seems like she is trying to swallow she is turning her head hard to the left

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

Does she seem to want to cough or vomit? Has she brought anything up?

Can she keep food or water down?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any discomfort, tenderness, distention, or tensing?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?
