My dog of 53 pounds may have eaten some of my fuorisimide

Customer Question

My dog of 53 pounds may have eaten some of my fuorisimide (sp?) (lasix). I had just called in a refill and left the bottle on the table. I found the chewed up bottle and 13 pills in the yard. I don't think she ate very many if she ate any at all. I had less than 20 and our grass is still long. 40mg tablets. Should I give her some hydrogen peroxide to be safe?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if in will be able to digest that. How old is in?
Customer: 11 months
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about in?

Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.

1) How long ago would this ingestion have occurred?
2) Am I understanding that roughly 7 of the 40mg tablets would have been consumed?

So sorry. It just wouldn't let me respont to you. My only option was to hit "continue" which I guess started the whole process again. Anyway I got my refund and my dog seems fine.

Thank you,

Randy
