I need to clarify a few things first. Is Buster straining to defecate and is not able to, or can you see stool that is actually stuck?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I can see it

Ok thank you. Since he is a small dog, I would put him in the sink and use either a sprayer from the sink if you have one, or a warm wet wash cloth to gently soften the stool that is there to give him some relief. If you have any cleaning gloves, I would put them on first. If the stool is stuck in Buster's hair then you may need to use some shampoo to help loosen the hair.

Give this a try and let me know how it goes please.
