My Husband just gave our cavalier spaniel (9kg) the whole

Customer Question

My Husband just gave our cavalier spaniel (9kg) the whole 250 mg Nisamox antibiotic tablet instead of half. She is supposed to be having half a tablet twice daily. Will she be ok?

Hi,

Nisamox is very safe and the double dose Star has accidentally had will not cause any serious issues at all. Sometimes was with any antibiotic diarrhoea can be an adverse effect so she may have a grumbly tum, but I suspect she will be fine. Maybe avoid the later dose and start back to normal tomorrow.

Regards

Dan
