Customer Question

Hi my dog has an open sore near his lower lip. Is it possible to upload a photo?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Clover. He is about 6 years old :)
JA: How old is Clover?
Customer: 6 I believe. I adopted him as a retired guide dog
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Clover?
Customer: I don't believe so
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Veterinarian about your situation and then connect you two.

I just noticed it as I'm brushing him. Is there anything I need to do for this?
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 4 months ago.

I would cleanse it a couple of times daily with over the counter chlorhexidine (Hebiclens) available in your local pharmacy. Chlorhexidine is a good antimicrobial safe to use around the mouth. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
