My name is ***** ***** I’ve been involved professionally with dogs in the health and behavioral fields for over 18 years. It will be my pleasure to work with you today.
The first thing I would check is the heart. An undiagnosed heart condition might cause the symptom you are seeing. There is a condition called exercise induced collapse (EIC). This is seen in breeds related to the golden retriever like the curly coated retriever and labrador retriever. It can take 5-20 minutes of exercise to cause weakness and then collapse. You can read more about it on the following pages.
Subvalvular aortic stenosis (SAS) is a known problem in golden retrievers. I would have your vet check for this since a dog can look perfectly healthy but be affected. Read more on this here:

Since there have been recalls on certain foods, please check the following site to be sure the food your animals eat is not affected. If it is affected, contact your vet as soon as possible. Have your dog seen if they have any symptoms.
