Can you tell me, please, if his lab work contained an acetylcholine receptor antibody test for myasthenia gravis? Is Claro's weakness exacerbated by exercise? Is Claro under the care of a specialist internist? Where do you live that Hemocanis (Mycoplasma haemocanis) was diagnosed?

A steroid such as dexamethasone is indicated when there is an inadequate response to anticholinesterase medication (pyridostigmine) when addressing myasthenia gravis. The acetylcholine receptor antibody test is the gold standard for the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis and is 98% accurate and so if Claro already tested negative, myasthenia gravis isn't likely. Claro has tested negative for the two most common central nervous system infections - toxoplasmosis and neosporosis (Neisseria?) - and cerebrospinal fluid analysis was normal and so a congenital (present at birth) brain or spinal cord disorder would be most likely. I don't believe that MRI is available for dogs where you live but that's the only diagnostic I could recommend at this time.
