Get Your Dog Care Questions Answered by Experts
Hi there. My name is ***** ***** I'm happy to help you with your question.
Each airline is different on how big of a dog can ride in the cabin of a flight, but as a general rule, as long as the carrier can fit beneath the seat in front of you (just like a normal carryon) it's fine.
I did a little research and found the information for 4 major carriers:
Delta Airlines: http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/special-travel-needs/pets.html
American Airlines: https://www.aa.com/i18n/travelInformation/specialAssistance/pets.jsp
United Airlines: https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/default.aspx
Southwest Airlines: https://www.southwest.com/pets/
If you're flying on an airline other than the ones I listed, just go to the airline main internet page and search for 'flying with pets". You'll be able to find their protocols for each airline.
I hope this helps.
