Hello and thank you for using this site to help you.. My name is ***** ***** I am working on your question.

Thankfully there is not enough toxins in an ant trap to do any damage. However the packaging if eaten can cause an obstruction of the intestines.

Do you know if he chewed the trap into pieces?

Expert:  Sally G. replied 1 year ago.

If the pup ate the trap then I would give some pieces of whole grain bread as this will surround any sharp pieces from the trap and carry them through the intestinal tract. You will still need to watch for a couple of days for a blockage and symptoms of this are sudden lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy.
