Hello,

I am sorry to hear what happened to your Lab. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.

Please do not give any ibuprofen; it can cause kidney damage, vomiting, and diarrhea. Aspirin can also cause vomiting, but is safer than ibuprofen. If he weighs around 65 pounds, he can take 2 to 3 low dose aspirins, once to twice daily. Always give it with food, and stop if he vomits at all.

Let me know how he is doing and if you have any other questions. Rebecca

Ok, thank you very much. Is baby aspirin ok to use?
Expert:  Rebecca replied 1 year ago.

Yes. Baby aspirin and low dose aspirin are the same thing: 81 mg aspirin. How much does he weigh?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
55 lbs, he is a little guy!
Expert:  Rebecca replied 1 year ago.

You can give 2 to 3 baby aspirin, with food, every 12 to 24 hours. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Rebecca
