our cockapoo has been very weak for the last 2 days and is eating just a little.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Weakness and inappetence are important symptoms but they're not pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any one disorder. Because his symptoms are nonspecific I first need to determine how urgently he should be attended to by a vet. Please do a few things for me...

1) Check his gums and tongue color. They should be nicely pink - not whitish (anemia) or bluish/greyish (cyanosis/lack of oxygen to his tissues).

2. Check his respiratory rate at rest. He should be taking no more than 40 breaths/minute.

3. Take his rectal temperature. Any body thermometer will of placed 1.5" into his rectum for 1 minute. Normal is 100.5-102.5F. This should be a two person job!
