Hello. Thanks for the question.

Orange in the stool is a common sign of liver disease in dogs. The liver processes bile so that it's not excreted too heavily. It also prevents it from building up in the blood. When we see jaundice or yellow/ orange stool, then there could be a problem somewhere in the bile processing.

I would do a full chemistry panel to check liver enzymes, kidney enzymes, bilirubin and red cell counts. This should tell you if there is anything to worry about metabolically. If it's normal, then I'd just give it some time to resolve on it's own. In that case, it's probably just something in the gut that is causing the color.
