Customer Question

Yes I'm worried about my dog Maya. first she started vomiting ... This started last Sunday night and ended Tuesday evening. I switched her off her regular dog food on that Tuesday night and gave her chicken and rice. She didn't vomit again after I switched her over to the chicken. However she started getting diarrhea Friday, Saturday and today. And now she seems to be breathing quickly (not panting just quick breaths). Her chest is rising and falling very fast

Both of my dogs are lying next to me now napping and Maya's chest rises and falls about 3-4 times in the amount of time it takes my other healthy dog izzy to breath in and out once

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.
When did she last vomit?
What has her vomit looked like?
Any blood, black material, or mucus in her diarrhea?
Can she keep water down?
Are her gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?
Can you take a breathing rate for me (just count her breaths for 10 seconds + multiply by 6)?
If you press on her belly, does she have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?
Could she have eaten anything she should not have (ie bones, stones, socks, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?
