Hi, I'm Dr. Deb. I will do my best to assist you today. I'm sorry that your yorkie has scratched her eye.As long as the opthalmic drops do NOT contain dexamethasone or any steroids, use of Tobramycin (the active ingredient) should be fine to use in her eye.But if it has steroid in it, you should not use it since the eye can significantly worsen. The dose would be 1 drop 3-4 times a day until she can be seen. Many of these injured corneas will need topical pain medication such as Atropine. If she's not currently taking any non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (such as Deramaxx, Rimadyl, Previcoxx or Metacam), you could give her one baby aspirin (81 mg) twice a day with food to avoid stomach upset.I hope this helps and that she feels better soon. Deb
