Hi Joan, My dog is just under 20 lbs. How much plain aspirin would I give him? Also, can you give an example of the name brand of aspirin I should buy? Thanks in advance.
Hello! My name is XXXXX XXXXX it will be my pleasure to help you with your dog today.

As a general rule, a 20 pound dog could have 1 baby aspirin (make sure it's always only aspirin...products that contain ibuprofen, acetaminophen or naproxen sodium can be toxic in dogs, even in very small doses) once or twice a day with food to avoid upsetting the stomach.

Most baby aspirins are 81mg, so you can also use the low dose adult aspirin if that's what you have on hand.

I hope this helps.
