I am sorry to hear about Rocky.
My name isXXXXX am a veterinarian, and will do my best to help.
Have you had his anal glands checked? If they are infected or impacted, they can be very smelly. Having them emptied by a veterinarian or a groomer may help.
Other places that older dogs can emit a bad odor is from the mouth, if there is gum disease or infected teeth, and a dental cleaining can help that.
Skin infections and ear infections are common in this breed, and can be stinky.
All of the above has been checked and seems OK. Any other suggestion?
Then I would try to locate what part of his body this smell is coming from.
If it seems to be all over, it must be the skin. Even if it looks OK, a course of antibiotics may help.
Will do and thanks.
Thank you and I will try that.
