My dog is 13 year old dog is coughing and spitting up white foam. It appears to have dog hair in the foam from my other dog that is shedding badly. Is there anything else I should be concerned about? He had a seizure for the first time 2 days ago and minus the foam he is completely normal. very active, eating, and drinking. We took him to the emergency vet and all of his vitals were good. They said in a dog his age, the seizure probably stemmed from a tumor.

This could be kennel cough; the timing sounds about right. If it is, it would be a good idea to start Homer on antibiotics. Until you can get him to a vet you can try treating the cough with Robitussin DM. How big is Homer? A 60 pound dog would take a teaspoon as needed, up to 3 times a day.
Usually dogs with kennel cough have a harsh cough, but are eating and drinking normally. If he seems to sick to want to eat, then this cough could be from something more serious.
