Hello,I would love to help I just have a few additional questions. Each answer is typed individually so please allow me a few minutes after your reply.

How long has he been on Pepto how much is he getting and how often?

Anything in the vomit that looks like coffee grounds?

When did he last pass stool and was it normal?

Is he stomach larger or harder then normal?

What color are his gums?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Thank you

I know this is not what you want to hear but he really should be seen in your local animal emergency tonight. Dark brown vomit with coffee ground like material often indicates bleeding int he stomach. Pepto can actually increase the bleeding .

Brown vomit and not passing stool can also indicate a blockage in the digestive tract. When this happens stool can be vomited This can be form eating a none food item, bone or rawhide or a growth in the abdomen
Dark gums can be seen with tylenol toxicity, heat stroke , fever, elevated blood pressure or not enough oxygen

I would suggest getting him in right away . They will want to do some blood work and possible x rays to look in the abdomen If you need help locating a ER please give me your zip code.

Please let me know how things are going and reply back if you have additional questions

He has not been eating so he wouldnt have a bowel movement would he? He does have gum disease. So his gums look bout the same as they always do. I dont have much money. There is nothing i can do but take him to a vet?
Expert:  Candy replied 4 years ago.
He should still have had a bowel movement at least yesterday . It takes 2-3 days for the food to empty out of the stomach so I would have expected to see something.
If his gums are normal then if needed this can wait until morning but if he has bleeding in the stomach there is nothing you can do for him at home. He is also a senior dog so it is very important that you also find out why he is not eating.

If you have Pepcid AC this may help for the night no pepto. Pepcid AC is dosed at 0.25 mgs per pound of body .

I would call your local Humane Society tomorrow and ask them where the low cost clinics are in your area.
If you can tell me exactly where you are located I will see if I can find specific programs in your area to help with vet care
