In a word? No.
There's two reasons:1. Pork is infamous for causing pancreatitis in dogs. This is an inflammation of the pancreas caused by eating fatty foods. Pork bones do contain a large amount of grease, so feeding it to dogs very often causes pancreatitis. To recover, dogs often require hospitalization, IV medications and oral medications.
2. Cooked bones can splinter, puncturing the digestive tract on it's way through. THey can also get caught in the digestive tract and cause something called an intestinal obstruction. If a dog has an obstruction, they need surgery to remove it. If the obstruction isn't removed, it can be fatal and very painful.
So as much as he might want the bone, it's safer to not give it to him.
I hope this helps.
