Is this on the outside of the eye or is the eye itself pink?

Thank you for the additional information.

This breed commonly develops an over production of skin mites as pups and the most common area effected is the face

Here is additional information

Fungal infections mainly ringworm can also effect the face and is common in young pets

Chronic runny eyes from allergies, infection or problems with the eye lashes can also cause the area around the eyes to become red.

I would suggest getting this looked at by your vet to be sure the eye discharge is not due to infection or problems with the eyelashes as well as doing a simple skin scraping to look for mites.

I hope all goes well, please reply back if you have additional questions or concerns
