Hello,

Has Odie had any diarrhea?

Could Odie have gotten into any other non food item ie: bones, garbage, etc?

What breed is Odie?

What is Odie's weight?

How many times has he vomited?

Any tenderness in the abdomen?

Joan

Hello,
You opted out Joan so she could not respond to you.

The Salvia plant is non toxic:

and this is a list of toxic and non toxic plants:

The issue is the fact that Odie did eat it, and can still cause horrible stomach upset. We can do some first aid by withholding food for the next 12 hours. You can pick up the water and replace with ice cubes to lick. We need to hold anything that would cause him to vomit more.

If you can get some Pepcid AC you can give a whole tablet for 60 pounds and over. This will help settle the stomach. This can be given every 12 hours. When you go to feed the dog again, please use a bland diet. This would be skinless chicken breast boiled 1 part to 3 parts boiled white rice. This can be given in small increments to start and lead up to a regular meal. Once the stomach seems to be ok, then you can start weaning back onto the normal diet by switching the food back for the band diet You can add some canned pumpkin(not pie filling) into the bland diet to help make the stool more solid.

If the vomiting does not resolve by morning I would have him seen by a vet.
