Daily brushing may be beneficial here. If he isn't clearly dirty frequent baths are likely unnecessary and can dry the skin resulting and aggravate shedding. Supplementation with omega three fatty acids can minimally help and won't hurt to try. Be careful with other vitamin supplements because most dogs who eat a healthy diet usually get all that they need and don't need supplements. Oversupplementation can lead to increased shedding. Right now the weather is changing and this can cause a dog to "blow" their coat which is normal. In some cases the amount of shedding is completely normal for the dog and as long as the skin is clear and he isn't itchy it usually isn't anything to worry about health wise for the dog. I know it can be a nuisance to us so the best thing to do is brush once to twice daily everyday to decrease the amount of shedding and improve skin and coat health by stimulating the natural oils on his skin.
