The vomiting can be due to many things:
1. Gastroenteritis- general GI infection
2. Metabolic disease
3. Endocrine disease
4. Foreign body obstruction
5. Pancreatitis

Here is what you can do from home for the vomiting to see if it helps:
1. Pull the food/ water for 6-8 hours to prevent further vomiting
2. Give a dose of Pepcid (Famotidine) at 0.25 mg/lb every 12-24 hours for 2-3 days
3. Feed a bland diet of chicken/ rice or hamburger/ rice; you can also give pedialyte or Gatorade once the vomiting stops to help with the dehydration

If this does not help, then I'd get to a vet for x-rays/ bloodwork to rule out other causes.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
