Hello,

Xanax (Alprazolam) is used in dogs for anxiety disorders at doses ranging from 0.01-0.05 mg per lb body weight every 6-12 hours. It's not typically used for allergies, we use diet manipulation, allergy injections and steroids (Prednisone) to control signs of allergies.

What is the steroid dose for a 20lb dog (I am a RN)?
