Hello,
Can you answer a few questions, so I can be more helpful:
1. Is he still shaking?
2. Will he come across the room if you call his name?
3. Is he standing or lying down?
4. Has he recently vomited or had diarrhea?
5. How is his appetite?
Thank you

Okay.
My primary concern for shaking of this duration includes seizure-like activity, stress, abdominal discomfort, or pain elsewhere in the body. Now, 1 of the above (stress) doesn't warrant emergency care. However, all of the others do. I would encourage veterinary examination now. Too risky to simply wait this out for risk of him being uncomfortable the entire evening and/or the problem getting progressively worse.
Definitely, an examination to assess how he is doing, and a blood test will be very helpful for an overall health assessment. Other conditions that can cause tremors/shaking include heart problems, electrolyte abnormalities, nausea, and primary musculoskeletal problems.
Good Luck
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
