Hi cnt sugar,

How many pups does she have?

Does she try to feed the pup in that location?

Is this her first litter?

Customer replied1660 days ago.

She had two pups but one died on sunday. She does not try to feed the puppy in the location. this is her first litter and last.

I would recommend that you bottle feed the baby if she is not taking care of it. She probably just doesn't know what she is doing. You can also, if you plenty of time, make her lay in the dog bed with the pup every few hours and let it nurse and her lick/groom it to stimulate it to use the bathroom. And when you are not supervising her, put them both in a small area, like a large pet taxi or the bathroom with her pet bed in there and shut the door. Sometimes after a few days to a week she will figure out that she has to take care of it. But some dogs are never going to be good mothers.

Here is a website that talks about orphaned pup care.

Hope this info helps,

Dr. Candy
