she is a lab pointer mix. She is 2 yrs old and has never done this before. Our backyard is full of trees. We have tried raking them up but it is impossible to get them all.

Terri asked me to pop in on this one..hope that is ok. :) This is going to be quite the training job for you...a lot of time and commitment as you have to teach her that these are not the things she should be chewing on outside. Do continue to rake up as many as possible. You will have to take your girl out on lead and when she goes for an acorn, tell her OFF and reward her with a treat when she ignores it. Make sure there is plenty of other things for her to do in the yard....interactive rolly balls filled with kibble, bully sticks, stuffed kong toys are all better than acorns. :) Just be consistant with her and she will soon stop messing with the acorns. :) Good luck to you and your girl :)
