My dogs nose is rubbed raw when he buries his bone.

Customer Question

What can I put on my dog's nose to ease the raw areas?

As long as he is continuing to bury things, his nose will be raw.

Clean it well, put an antibiotic ointment on it and hold his head to keep him from licking it off right away (he will lick it anyway...just give it a little time to 'soak in'). Repeat the ointment quite a few times the first day.

And stop giving him things to bury ?

Hope this helps. best wishes.
