My dog chewed my albuterol inhaler. His teeth punctured the can. Now he is not really acting like himself. Should I be worried? I don't have any money to take him to the vet, so I can't take him unless absolutely necessary.

Albuterol is used in veterinary medicine, but, as in people, it can have very serious side effects if overdosage occurs.

Dogs can have a number of problems related to the stimulant effects of this drug: it can adversely affect the heart and other internal organs.
