my dog is acting lame

Customer Question

i am not sure what is wrong with my 8 yr old Male Yorkshire. when I came home yesterday he could not stand up or walk. He is very alert and is aware of all questions such as go by- by or go outside. He is unable to stand or walk on his own. I am unsure if it is a stroke or if its a pinched nerve or if a puppy we also have may have roughed him up. Please help me with some advise.

Regardless of the cause of this symptom, he should see a vet ASAP for treatment. If he does have a disc problem or other spinal problem, the delay of treatment risks possible serious damage. If it is not as serious as a spinal problem, your vet can treat with whatever he/she determines is appropriate. I hope all goes well for your little companion.Tammi B39015.1441966435
