Does a dogs bark change as they get older

Resolved Question:

My pomerainian is 8 years old. I have noticed recently that her bark has changed. It sounds like she is hoarse or loosing her "voice" so to speak. She does have a collapsing trachea, but it has been controlled for some time with cough syrup one time per day.

This can be a sign of a medical issue where the larynx isn't working quite right or where there are polyps on the vocal cords.

I would get it checked out by the vet just to make sure this isn't a further complication with the trachea or another airway issue.
Hope this helps you!
