Usually dogs start a series of shots as pups at about the age of 7-8 weeks of age. They need shots about every 3 weeks up to the age of 16 weeks when they may be given their first rabies shot. Commonly pups are given combination shots covering at least distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, adenovirus, and parvo.
Ear cropping is done between the ages of 6-12 weeks old.
